Who are The Bulldawgs?

Harry “The Professor” Fink

“The Professor” began playing at 16 — a little too late to be in a high school garage band. He hooked up with a friend who played and sang and started playing clubs in 1969. He continued playing in mostly country-rock bands through grad school and beyond. Eventually the music gigs conflicted with his teaching jobs (he was an adjunct professor of statistics and management doing evening classes beginning in 1980). He semi-retired from playing about 1982 and continued his teaching career which lasted until December, 2019 when he retired. He was a professor of psychology and statistics (tenured) since 1994. In 2012 he joined the Bulldawg Blues Band. Over the years he’s gigged in Las Vegas, at State Fairs, in many clubs in the SFV, OC, Inland Empire. He played regularly with the “off-night” band at the Palamino. He’s always been a blues man at heart and is glad to be with the Dawgs

Peter Limoncello, lead & 2nd guitar

Peter Limoncello was born in Tokyo, Japan, into a military family.  Constantly moving, music was the anchor in his formative years.  His musical muse is an eclectic blend of classical, blues, rock and jazz.  In his late teens, he became accompanist for guitarist George Cromarty, co-writer of the folk music classic “Plastic Jesus”. As well as performing as a solo artist, Peter has played with a variety of artists including Ann Behringer (Tina Turner), Colin Carter, the Sloths, the Stingrays, and has appeared on film soundtracks and commercials.

Mark “The Walkin’ Boss” Lampe

Like a lot of guys, Mark started fooling around with a guitar when he was in High School. Then a friend loaned him a bass, and he fell in love with playing it. So-unlike many bass players, he’s not a frustrated guitar player; he just loves playing the bass.

He gnashed his teeth on Punk & Hardcore music, and played in a punk band then (first band he was in) for a while, but quickly started exploring a lot of other types of music-Progressive Rock, Fusion, Power Pop & Funk. Over the years he’s played in many different types of groups-Classic Rock, Progressive, Folk, Americana, and original groups with their own unique sound and style. Playing Classic Blues with the Bulldawgs and diving into its history has been very enjoyable for him. Some of his favorite groups are progressive rock icons like Yes, Rush, Jethro Tull, King Crimson & Genesis. Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Supertramp, The Police (and the solo works of all three members) are also favorites.
